Hi all! Just wanted to make a quick post about some of the things I’ve been up to recently.

For those of you that don’t know, I am an absolute geek when it comes to learning or refining new tricks. Coming from a web designer background, nothing thrills me more than having that “aha!” moment when learning something new. I’m sure the same can be said for most.

My latest breakthrough comes in the form of finally coming to grips with how OOP (Object Oriented Programming) works in a practical way. I mean, I have understood what OOP is for a while and have even used it in some of my WordPress website developments but have never really fully appreciated the mechanics of it all as WordPress and other frameworks tend to do all of that in the background.

I am excited about this in that it opens many new doors and possibilities for me into more specialised programming that I didn’t quite see before.

And for this, I’d like to give thanks to Stefan Mischook of killerphp.com who runs a blog with several videos explaining various aspects of website development. So, thank you Stefan, I will be following your blogs for more interesting tidbits for my next “Eureka!” moment.

That’s all for now folks, a couple of things developing in the pipeline but will reveal in due course.

Hello all you ‘webby’ people and welcome to my “rant and rave” blog.

Now before you people say anything, I know its taken me ages to launch the blog section of my site but I have to say that I have been crazy busy until now (where I seem to have a brief respite to make a start of this)

So without further ado, I’d like to summarize in this first post what has been keeping me so busy until this point and what I intend to write about in future posts.

It certainly has been a crazy year so far! I can hardly believe that we are already half way through it. Damn, time surely is in a rush!

What’s been keeping me?

Well, I’ve been very busy at Temple Creative on quite a large project which I absolutely cannot wait to announce. It has taken roughly three months from conception and has truly been one of most complex WordPress operated rollouts I’ve done to date. Unfortunately the site is still going through user acceptance testing so I can’t reveal the magic just yet but watch this space for the link soon.

Coming up…

I am busy working on a content plan to structure my posts more regularly but so far I am going to be writing mostly web development and design related articles with special focus on WordPress website development. I also hope to write a few reviews on some plugins and web tools I find useful with perhaps some tutorials. The plan is still a work in progress though, so there might be a few kinks that will be ironed out along the way. But that’s the beauty of the dynamic world of web development, you get to change and improve constantly.

Anyway folks! That’s it from me for now. I’ll be back soon (I hope!) with a new article about something a little more interesting than this.
